The Express-News today says that Francisco Elson might not play. Which sucks because he's another body to put on Shaq.

"He could hardly walk last night getting on the bus. This morning, he was walking better, but it's still swollen, just not quite as much." If he can't go, Fabricio Oberto will likely start at center against the Heat on Sunday.

The Spurs should focus on keeping the Heat role players out of the game. Always have a man on Kapono and put pressure on Posey and Walker to make mistakes. Let Shaq and Wade do whatever they want.
LineOFire's Prediction:
San Antonio Spurs - 96
Miami Heat - 88

I feel you will win this, and JWill out again is a big blow because he runs our offense, but your theory of letting Shaq and Wade do what they want is slightly worrying, as they could run wild and get a huge game or it could work. Cavs put a double team on Wade from the start and it worked for them, I would think your coach would have taken that into account, I hope he hasn't.
Hope it's a great game.

Wade went berserk and our supporting cast sucked *** once again. It pisses me off to see Manu and Tony playing their butts off and then everyone else lays a big fat egg. This was exactly like the Suns game. It was close the whole way and then the last five minutes it's a brickfest. Miami doesn't even have a good defense!
The Big Three = 22-45 = .489
Crappy Supporting Cast = .343

i fell asleep halftime so i dont know wat happend. woke up with 42 secs left in the game and was told how the spurs put up brickfest2007 for 10 mins or something. that sucks. i cant wait til bonner comes back, i hope he makes the bench better. but just because its the spurs and they tend to always get screwed i bet the crapness that is our bench will catch on to him.
did we have a backup PG play today? i didnt see beno or jacque the whole first half. i dont know if james white is a guard or forward, if hes got ballhandling and decision making skills, then why not try him out? he obviously might not be that good though becasue pops not letting him play :/

We played great defense today, even the spell of you not getting a field goal for 7:42.

its funny cuz Miami is capable of playing good defense. they just dont do it consistently like the spurs over the course of the season. they showed they can play tenacious D just like Spurs (and Finals). problem is, they play that way only when they want too (which every Heat fan hates!) LOL
4th qqt was all about D. the Heat just played better at the end along with Wade

I didn't mean to sound like I was degrading the Heat. But you have to admit the Heat are no defensive juggernaut. Shaq wasn't even playing during that stretch. I give full credit to Dwyane Wade because he played amazing but I didn't see anything spectacular from the Heat defense. Antoine Walker and Eddie Jones stepped up big time too.

Re: Game 51: Spurs at Miami Heat - Sunday, February 11, 2007; 12:00 PM CST
Miami has proved to be one of the best defensive teams when they want to be. They hardly ever are during the regular season though. The Mavs averaged 91.8ppg in the finals. However, I thought SA really helped them out today. They shot way too may jumpers and didn't post up Duncan anywhere near enough. No matter what people say about the Spurs declining, I still think they're just lazy and saving up their energy for the playoffs. Good game guys.
