He could become an offensive Malik Rose. I hope that he will join the Spurs really soon and give them some inside punch.
There are a lot of people who saw him going first round, he the Spurs had the great idea of picking him. I am sure that he will have the level to play there. I hope that coach Pop will let hil play.
At least he saw him contribute to the historical loss of USA vs Argentina

I had this guy going late first round--to the Spurs, I think. I didn't understand at the time why he slipped so much, and I still don't. I mean, look at some of the definite NON-NBA players who were taken ahead of him. The Spurs have managed to surround Tim Duncan with a nice young supporting cast despite never picking higher than about #25 or #26 overall. Impressive!
By the way, I don't THINK he's going to be playing on the 2002-03 Spurs, I think he still has another year or two left on his contract overseas. I THINK the team is content to let the guy continue to develop overseas rather than letting him rot on the 2002-03 team's bench. ALSO, the whole reason why the team made that Antonio Daniels-Steve Kerr trade is to avoid the luxury tax, and, by signing Scola, they would probably re-enter luxury tax territory.
But 1-2 years down the road? Absolutely this dude was a brilliant pick at the end of the 2nd round. I don't understand why THE ENTIRE 2ND ROUND isn't populated pretty much EXCLUSIVELY by foreign dudes, as a matter of fact. I don't know when all those other teams are going to get it!
