I'll find out later. Time for bed...

I'm curious about Swift, Collison and Luke though...

Good job Sonics!

collison had 6 points and 3 rebounds in 21 minutes. Ridnour had 2 points, 7 assists and ZERO turnovers in 22 minutes. Swift had 0 points and 1 block in 4 minutes. he did not shoot. ibo had 2 points in 6 minutes and missed his only 3. Radman had another great game with 1-7 shooting. Please trade this guy. Daniels had a good game with 13 points and 7 assists. And lewis with a strong game with 17 points. Only 8 team turnovers which is very solid and probably why we won the game. Good start. I'm just happy when Kobe will turn into the next Anfernee hardaway when shaq left.

Ok, boxscore is up now...

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/boxscore?gid=2004101213

My thoughts after hearing the game...

- Ray and Rashard started slow, missed a lot of shots. But, they were on fire in the second half. Lewis started off the game posting up on the first few posessions, but then predictably went back to the outside jumpshot.

- Collison is going to be awesome for us. He made a few mistakes, but he made some very nice plays. He takes it strong to the hoop, he plays tough defense, he pulled down some strong boards and just does all the little things. The comentators were gushing over him. Even though he only put up 6 and 3, he played much better than that.

- Luke was solid. He made good decisions, he made some nice dishes off penetration (although, Reggie blew a couple at the rim). He was running the team when we made the comeback and went on a 22-5 run. AD was not as impressive IMO, even though his stats look good. He missed all his shots in the second quarter and the offense really slowed down with him. Granted, he did play much better when he came back into the game in the 4th, and hit almost all his shots.

- Swift came on for a couple of minutes in the second quarter. Didn't do much, but he played some good defense. Forced a 24 second violation and blocked a shot.

Other random thoughts - The ball movement overall was good. Lots of assists, and not many turnovers. JJ hasn't changed, still makes silly mistakes. Radman hasn't changed, jacked up some ill-advised shots. Evans hasn't changed, hustled but still can't hit a shot. Didn't see much of Kutluay, but he did make one nice shot.

That's about it...

Not that I saw it, but this game was on TV in LA. Had I known, I prolly could have found it on the dish. Oh well.

Good to see Ridnour playing well. Sure he didn't score much, but when you're averaging nearly 1 assist per 3 minutes, you can't gripe too much about it

Rick Adelman on Danny Fortson...

"Fortson, that's all he does - makes free throws and pushes."

Danny Fortson in reference to the anonymous Sonic who tattle taled to the Seattle-Times...

"I think somebody on this team might have girlish characteristics that need to be turned into a man. Because if we're going to win, we need warriors. We don't need girls. Girls are for the dance team."

Fortson also said "he wouldn't doubt it" if there were a gay player in the NBA but hopes he's not a Sonic.

"That would be a bad deal," Fortson said. "He might want to keep that one in the closet."

I would like to see Ridnour run the pick and roll more and shoot that mid range jumper like he did at Oregon.

Reggie 4 pts away from double-double? If only he could make a little more of his shots.
