Sure...
After that, we could trade Rashard Lewis to the Bulls for Fred Hoiberg straight up. Then, with as much promise as Radmanovich has showed, we could trade him and a #1 for Doug Oliver. Then we could sign Yinka Dare. Our starting lineup would be..
PG Oliver
SG Hoiberg
SF Harrington
PF Croshere
C Dare
Who could stop us?!?!
Lets be realistic, Croshere and Harrington is not even near compensation for Payton, not to mention Croshere with the season he had, pretty much has no trade value, and the only reason you're trading him is to dump his huge contract, and Harrington just came off a season ending injury so we have no idea how productive he can be, and considering hasn't really shown anything but potential since before the injury, he's not a very valuable trade commodity in his own right, so unless you'd like to throw in a couple first rounders, that trade proposal would go in the wastebasket.
In My Humble Opinion, of course

It's not THAT bad
I agree that there's no way they would do that trade, but Harrington could be a special player in a year or two. Maybe if Harrington came back and was playing great and the Sonics were already out of the running they could do it at the deadline or something, but throw in Tinsley as well. I think Tinsley, Harrington, and Croshere for Payton wouldn't be bad at all in terms of rebuilding. They'd have a very good young point to complement two rapidly developing highschool players, plus Mason and James at center. That team could contend in a few years.
Edit: I forgot to mention Lewis. I have to admit I haven't seen him play much, but apparently he's worth a lot to them, near the max, or maybe even the max. If that's the case I don't think they'd trade for Harrington. I don't think he could play power forward in the west, so he'd have to be a bench player unless they can't resign Lewis. Maybe the trade I mentioned above could be with Bender instead, but he's probably not worth Payton with only Tinsley and Croshere. Maybe they could work out a three team deal in which they give up Payton but gain Tinsley and someone else, but I can't think of a deal that would be fair right now.

Actually, Jamaal Tinsley would instantly imo make that trade interesting. However, may I ask what has caused Tinsley's drop in popularity with fans and management?? He seem to start off as a promising distributor. His shooting could definitely improve but perhaps with athletic scorers like Lewis and Mason, he might not have to score as much.
Still, with Croshere, I don't think he's quite built enough to last long as a PF in the West, and with our ridiculous Vin Baker contract looming over our heads, to add another big contract with not much hope for big production is not really a great step in the right direction for our franchise..

Tinsley's popularity
It seems that everyone is saying that Isiah Thomas doens't like him for some reason. He's not a good shooter and he's a bad defender, plus he was pretty inconsisitent. They had to bench him in the playoffs in favor of Kevin Olly and Ron Mercer, who's not even a pointguard. You're right about Croshere's contract though. A three team trade could make it work, but I'm not sure how. The Pacers would get Tinsley but would have to get someone else too to make up for the loss of Payton, and I don't know who that would be.

There is no way in hell i would do that trade. The only way i would trade payton is if it would be to the bulls for crawford fizar and futer pick firdt round or secound dont matter to me. Payton only has one year left one his contract and after one year jay will could start.

Won't happen, because...
The Pacers don't want Payton. He's nearly 34 and the Pacers are still in a rebuilding process.
But I like the thought of Tinsley in Seattle...
