Sonics/T-Wolves trade proposal
I would love to have KG as a Sonic, and Rashard is looking kinda expendable right now. So, how about something like this:
Lewis
Wilcox
Ridnour or Watson
for
Garnett
Yeah, I know its three for one, but perhaps some variation of this could be worked out. Then the Supes would just need to go find another PG to platoon with their remaining PG.
Heck, we'll even throw in Danny Fortson's phone number.

Re: Sonics/T-Wolves trade proposal
I was just thinking along the same lines, and I posted this on a Sonics board a second ago.
Lewis
Ridnour
Collison
2nd rounder or filler
for
O'Neal
Tinsley
Indiana is in the same situation as Seattle before the draft lotto. Meaning they have a non-superstar (O'Neal to our Allen) trying to lead this team into the playoffs, but always missing the first round. And even if they get into the first round, they have no chance. So they stay in mediocrity. O'Neal may be more glorified than Allen, and be more valuable because he is a big man, but ultimately Indiana ends up being the Eastern Conference Sonics.
This gives Indiana a chance to rebuild, get rid of a franchise big man that has gotten them nowhere for the past 4 years, and get rid boneheaded, overpaid PG. The downside is Indiana would end up with a Ridnour/Granger/Lewis/Murphy/Collison lineup, which is terrible, but you have to destroy to rebuild.
I think we have a higher chance to get O'Neal than KG, because KG commands more in the market.

Re: Sonics/T-Wolves trade proposal
Just about any trade that brought KG to the Sonics that didn't include the #2 pick would be a great trade for the Sonics. Not a fan of O'Neal. I think he's soft, a follower, a ball holder, and has an on court disposition that takes him and his team out of the game.

Twolves laugh you off the phone, if garnett goes then we're in complete rebuilding mode ie. picks, expiring, young talent etc.
i though you would be doing something similar and building around durant? #7 pick, rickys expiring and contract filler for lewis

Has his game changed when he was moved to C this year?

That is a potentially attractive proposal. With this being such a deep draft, getting the #7 pick would indeed be nice. But this would be good only if Lewis is dead set on leaving Seattle. Right now, it is sounding like he still may stay.

I still saw a guy who loved to fade away from the basket instead of going towards it. A guy who loved to hold the ball. And a guy who got taken out of games mentally by any good defender. A tremendous talent, but a headcase.

Still, a good enough of a talent to exchange Lewis for, don't you think? He won't be the centerpeice of the franchise, because Durant will be. Think of him like Rasheed Wallace on the Pistons. Don't tell me a 2/3/4 of Allen/Durant/O'Neal doesn't turn you on.

There is certainly a logic to what you are saying, I just don't like O'Neal, personally. I think he's a head case, and he'll hurt you when you need him to help you.

I thought his problem was a lack of leadership. Was it something else? Because he doesn't need ledaership here, as Allen will be the leader. And in a few years, Durant will be the leader. If his problem is only leadership, that should not be an issue in Seattle.
