Saer Sene - Bust Talk Is Laughable
Saer Sene is a good young player.. I have watched all the summer league games and he alters like a rediculous amount of shots, blocks many, and his work ethic is to write home about.. He just gets after it.. He Has great defensive instincts.
Offensively he is raw as hell, but he solid at just catching and finishing, and shoots a serviceable hook..
You Sonic fans want to give up on Sene, then do it, but if you do a team is going to have a top 3-5 defensive center in his prime..
I'd go on record as saying that I'd trade Sefolosha right now for Sene. Sene/Thomas/Noah (well we would have selected a different player this year in that event) would be the best defensive front court known to man.. if one guy doesnt block your shot the other will..
Be happy with Sene and stop crying and complaining about his rawness.. The only other player i would agree with picking Sene over is Ronnie Brewer, but thats cause he has Igouadala,Deng, Gwallace potential..
Sene will be great defensively and serviceable offensively in his prime.. you'll see.. or maybe you wont when you run him out of town..

Re: Saer Sene - Bust Talk Is Laughable
Also, His stats in two summer leagues have been very good.. Yet other star players do not really show great flashes and get an out because of earlier production.. I think a player is as good as their last game.. and Sene is solid as of now..

With the team's future in such jeopardy, Seattle fans don't want to see a project. By the time he develops into a decent player, the team could already be moved. I'd trade him for someone who's ready to contribute.

Seattle isn't going to be competitive for a while. Moving or not. I don't think Presti is worrying about where the team is going to be on the map. He's realizing that its a poor team right now and he's working on the future. A project like Sene isn't bad if the thinking is that he can work out and become a player.

I say give most of the minutes at center to Swift and Sene. If they play well, continue to give them most of the minutes. We should be patient with both of them and let them learn on the job. We're gonna be losing allot of games this season, so we may as well develop our young players.

Someone like a Kurt Thomas, or a Renaldo Balkman. A defensive player that plays smart or plays hard.

Re: Saer Sene - Bust Talk Is Laughable
Yes, but you're a Bulls fan, and you (or Seattle, for that matter) don't need Krapper. Whereas a 7 footer always comes in handy.
You can talk all you want about Sene's defensive potential.. But shouldn't he be getting more than 1.2 (I think) blocks per game in the D-league? I mean, that's pretty weak blocking for someone of his supposed skill..
I'm not denying he can be a good player somewhere down the line, and I'm not saying Seattle should get rid of him - as stated, they can afford to wait on projects - but unless he makes a huge jump sometime soon, it's more likely he's contributing 4-8 years down the line rather than 2.

How well is the Knicks Starters vs NBA Team Starters? 60%? 50%? 40%? or are we waiting to see by being optimistic because we have a new additional player in the Starting lineup that we assume Stat sheet record says he is better with this Knick roster than the guy he is replacing?

Re: Saer Sene - Bust Talk Is Laughable
If Sene isn't ready to play in the NBA (and he most likely isn't), then you send him to the NBDL. The man needs to play in games. He doesn't have much basketball experience at all. How does an inexperienced young player develop an understanding of the flow of a game and how to operate within it sitting on the bench? If he can't play wo/ missing his defensive rotations and screwing up the flow of the offense, then send him to the NBDL where he can get 30+ minutes a night and hopefully learn how to play.

Re: Saer Sene - Bust Talk Is Laughable
Sene wasn't doing well in the D-League last year. Picking up mad fouls.
