Our current roster - more changes coming?
Here we are with September fast approaching, kinda stuck in the NBA doldrums between the draft and preseason games. I am ready for the season to get going.
Take a look at the roster - three point guards and still no "real" shooting guard. Are there any more player trades and or signing coming before the preseason begins? Or are the Supes gonna go with the current roster?
What trades would you like to see?

Re: Our current roster - more changes coming?
Who potentially would be our SG's? Wilkins, Wally, Durant? Perhaps throw two of our PG's out on the floor simultaneously?

I disagree with this "we don't have a SG". Your team have Delonte West, who is more of a SG than PG.
Anyways, here is a trade idea:
Minnesota trade Ricky Davis and Marko Jaric to Seattle;
Seattle trade Wally to Portland, Petro to Minnesota and Gelabale to Lakers;
Portland trade Webster to Seattle and Lafrentz to Minnesota;
Lakers trade Vujacic to Portland;
Your team won't be able to resign at least one of the "three towers" (Swift, Petro and Sene), and Wally seems like a fish out of the water in this roster now. With Ricky, your team would have a good stopgap at SG for 1 season (expiring contract) and Marko Jaric give to your team another option (can play both PG and SG). Webster is a local guy and can also turn into another useful option for the future.

Wally and Raef in the same trade? That would be amazing.

Re: Our current roster - more changes coming?
I'm not familiar with West, but I wondered if he could play much time at SG.
Its just hard to figure out who is gonna be our main scorers now that both Ray and Rashard are gone. Yes, Durant will be expected to be one of our main scorers. Wally has been a big shooter in the past, and our bigs will have opportunities to shoot more as well.
I suppose that we will have more balanced shot distribution and scoring as a team. Over the course of the season, we will see who becomes the team leaders.

Portland wouldn't do this. Getting rid of LaFrentz is good, but there's no point if you're taking in Szerbiak. And the entire deal isn't good enough to give up Webster.

Yes, Delonte is a useful option at SG.

Yes, there is a good point: acquiring a good shooting SF in Szczerbiak (better overall than Webster), which they need and can use. Also, Vujacic give them a backup to Roy. Add the fact that, aside from Wally, they'll still have James Jones and Outlaw to share minutes, keeping Webster would make even less sense.
If they want to trade some of their guards, they can try to send Jack and Vujacic to Atlanta for Childress (who can play both SF and SG and is way better than Webster)
And do you like this deal for Seattle? Just because of Webster or even without him you would like it?

Re: Our current roster - more changes coming?
I'd take a up and coming Webster over Wally any day. And this is a great trade for Seattle jsut to bring in a legit 2-guard in Davis and get rid of Wally, but it's too good to be true.

Re: Our current roster - more changes coming?
are we any chance of getting ben gordon? i know he's looking for an extension and chicago haven't done much about it yet.
i'm guessing we don't really have anyone to give?
