Hornets to Seattle?

http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archiv...attle_in_2012/

This would be incredibly stupid. And if there was a slight chance this was true, I wouldn't want it. As much as I want Seattle to have a team I wouldn't do it at another fan base's expense.

Re: Hornets to Seattle?

In a sane world, the Sonics would be sold to local ownership and stay in Seattle, Shinn would sell the Hornets to the carpetbaggers, and everyone would be happy. This is the second time New Orleans has shown they won't support an NBA team, so I doubt too many people would actually care if they moved.

Re: Hornets to Seattle?

If OK City is going to get a team, it makes much more sense to move the Hornets there instead of the Sonics. But Clay Clay currently owns the Sonics and he is pretty intent on moving them to his lil hometown. Or getting a practically free, all-expenses paid half billion dollar arena in the Seattle area,

Re: Hornets to Seattle?

Clay is an idiot. Hornets should move to OKC. Keep Sonics in Seattle.

Re: Hornets to Seattle?

If Sonics do move out. Getting the Hornets is still better than not having a team at all.

I don't think so, that site seems like a sports-related 'Onion'...

Also, the league really really frowns upon you naming a team after an already established team (the Sooners being that "team"). It's why, if Portland ever got a baseball team, they probably wouldn't be called the Pilots (but might be called Beavers, due to the Portland Beavers being here since the 1910's or something insane).
