Well, if we had gotten Eddie Griffin, we wouldn't be able to give Cookie Baby serious minutes.

BACK2BACK CHAMPS
The 2010-2011 Los Angeles Lakers
PG: Derek Fisher, Steve Blake
SG: Kobe Bryant, Sasha Vujacic
SF: Ron Artest, Matt Barnes, Luke Walton
PF: Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom
C: Andrew Bynum, Theo Ratliff
He isn't even close to being out of the woods yet. He has never had problems performing on the court, he is a very talented player. His problems are off the court, and in the blink of an eye we could wake up one morning to another article about him breaking the law and being in trouble again.
I really hope thats all in his past, because if it is, the kid is only 22 right now and has a very productive career ahead of him. The Timberwolves got a steal if Griffin can stay on the good track, and they have the perfect guy helping him develop his game.
Last 7 games:
14.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.0 blocks

Cookie and Griffin have one thing in common, and that is shooting touch. Cook does not yet bring anything else to the table. But he is still young.
Yep, that's where the similarities end. Cook is a better shooter but Griffin is better at everything else. On the athleticism scale Griffin's about an 8 out of 10 while BC is a zero.

seriously, someone made the comment before that Cook was like Tracy Murray. Unfortunately I think it might be true, he is a deadly shooter but has no hops, no speed, doesn't D up, can't really rebound etc..
Eddie Griffin would have been a great fit for this team (as long as he kept his head on straight, which is no given).
