MILAN, June 15 (Reuters) - AC Milan will not sell playmaker Kaka despite saying they are aware that the Brazilian's father has held a meeting with Real Madrid.

"We can confirm we will not sell Kaka but we knew about this meeting because we were already informed of it by Kaka's father," Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani told the club Web site (www.acmilan.com).

Galliani said top Spanish clubs could afford to pay players more than Italian sides could because of tax reasons and this was why Kaka's father had held talks with Real.

"Kaka is certainly not for sale but this offer is born out of the different fiscal constraints between Italy and Spain which give an advantage to the top Spanish sides compared to the top Italian clubs," he said.

Kaka, widely regarded as one of the best players in the world, was instrumental in leading Milan to their seventh European Cup triumph last season.

Madrid can influence the Spanish media all they want, Kaka will not be sold. They were banking on a poor European campaign by Milan to sway him to Spain, and that obviously didn't work out. Not to mention Milan just netted £45m in Champions League earnings, why would they need to sell?

They still have one of the biggest names in Europe and there a many quality players who would kill themself to get an opportunity to play for Real.

Real's one of the biggest, if not the biggest club in the world. All the players say that, and even Jerzy Dudek, who's leaving Liverpool to get a first team slot somewhere else is tempted to take a Real Madrid deal because of the size of the club as well as the money offered.

Anyhow, Milan will not sell Kaka. If I'm the manager, Kaka stays in Milan whatever happens. Same goes for every world class player.

As legendary as it is, Perez made a mockery of it in his latter days. Calderon has been a complete *** too, using Marca as his puppet. "Madrid to sign Cesc, Robben, and Kaka" is what got him elected, none of which will happen.
