Re: 2011 Summer Transfer Talk
I don't buy the money side. It's not like he would be poor if he chose to play elsewhere, ofcourse the extreme riches come with City but you gotta think from a footballers point of view you'd go where you would enjoy.
Riding pine for half the season isn't worth the riches. Man City is quickly becoming a place to go and ruin your career.

Re: 2011 Summer Transfer Talk
If Tevez is going, then I can't see Aguero not starting every single game. I can't see it even if Tevez does go either. Dzeko will be gone, because he's done nothing so far in a City shirt. Balotelli, who knows. Mancini doesn't like him, but he's got talent no-one can deny that.

He's really just about the ideal center forward; great movement, cannon of a shot, really tall, strong as an ox, and even fast. You give him service from Silva, Nasri, and Aguero... he's gonna score perfect hat-tricks. Anyway, I think he'll start 35 if he doesn't get hurt. If you assume Tevez isn't going to play they're actually pretty thin up top because they sure as shit aren't going to play Adebayor or Santa Cruz, and I think Aguero is going to be used in a 4-4-2ish system as a Bergkampian playmaker. |

Re: 2011 Summer Transfer Talk
Adebayor is at Spurs.
Balotelli is the guy that could interrupt playing time for either Aguero or Dzeko. (Or if Mancini goes to Aguero up top by himself, with Silva playing just off him) FWIW, I always liked Dzeko. However, I think you need to calm down. He played one good game against VERY weak opposition (ignore the fact it was Spurs and look at the team sheet). In fact, Man City have yet to face anybody of note so the hype on them is a little much right now. City do seem more open to playing 2 up top this year, something they always toyed with last year but never seemed to get right so he could very well break my 30 game barrier. However, he still might not. What happens when Tevez does come in and play and reminds everybody how good he is? 3 pronged attack? Nahh, somebody will get dropped. Whether it be Aguero or Dzeko, it doesn't matter, I just didn't see any City striker averaging more than 30 games.

Re: 2011 Summer Transfer Talk
He's played a couple good games, but he was a superstar in Germany for years. Class is class.
And I really don't think Tevez is going to play for City again. He's probably in Argentina right now, and will get purchased by Corinthians in January. Or if Santos sell Neymar to Real or Barca Tevez would be a ridiculous replacement they could line up. I just don't see him in England much longer at all, and he's been bitching for a long time about not liking it. He wasn't technically a free agent when he went to City, and I doubt he had much of a choice; he was "owned" by those shady ****ers who have dogged him since he came to West Ham, or even before. |

Re: 2011 Summer Transfer Talk
Class is easy to fake in the Bundesliga.
I think Dzeko has all the tools to be legit, however I'm going to wait until he does it against good opposition in the Premier League/CPL.
