The Official Thiago Love Thread
Thiago Alcántara is a 20 year old Spanish/Italian/Brazilian central midfielder who came up through Barcelona's legendary La Masia Academy. Last year he had just as many performances for Barca B as he did for the Barcelona seniors, and got most of his appearances for the main squad after the league was essentially wrapped up.
A month ago he was expected to leave Barcelona. Then he turned it on, leading the Spanish U-21s to the European Championship and continuing his brilliance into the pre-season: Honestly, I think Barcelona are starting to second guess making a move for Cesc. Thiago is THAT GOOD. Get in on the ground floor now guys, because this kid has no where to go, but up. |

Mazinho's son. Don't like seeing a son of a Seleção member and Italian born playing for the Spanish national team. I'll be an anti-fan.

He's a talent but I do think that goal against United had a hint of luck with the way the ball bobbled up perfectly.
Great strike none the less and I really hope he can get some major minutes this year, although I find that doubtful.

I mean... he took a touch to control, it's not like the ball hit a rock and bounced up. He'll play a lot of La Liga games if Cesc stays in London. If Cesc comes home then he's SOL.

There doesn't have to be a rock on the pitch to bobble, c'mon bro, you gotta admit that ball bobbled up perfectly, that's why the ball caught such a swerve.
I'd like to see him go out on loan if Cesc does come on. Although Barca much prefer to sell players and then decide in 5 years to pay triple the figure to get them back.
