Re: Champions League 2011/2012
![]() I didn't quite have the balls to put that much on, but £20 turned into £100 which left me happy enough. As for Gomez, this one game doesn't make him anti-big game. But it did show that when Gomez struggles they all struggle. He also has one of the worst first touches for an elite striker I've seen.

Re: Champions League 2011/2012
That's not really fair. How many of those games has he played in his career? 2 cup finals this year and...
I think there are many fair criticisms of Gomez, with his inconsistency and inability to contribute in other facets of the game, but with players like him you take the good with the bad. No poacher is always on, and it's virtually impossible to get a striker who scores as many as he does and also contributes to the buildup. Only van Persie, Messi, and Rooney right now. The other guys who match him for scoring are just like him: Huntelaar, Lewandowski, etc. |

I'm of course only talking about what I know and have seen. For both Bayern and Germany he has flopped when I've seen him, invariably those are high profile games.
