A ton of articles in Germany indicating that Javi Martinez to Bayern is now finally done. Bayern will pay the 40 million euro buyout clause, while Martinez takes a paycut of 2 million per year over 5 years to make the transfer fee 30 million.

And of course, Robin Van Persie on his way to Man Utd.

Yeah, doesn't look like it's going to happen. The President thinks he won't get reelected if he accepts bids for Llorente and Martinez. Yet they exclude them from their Europa League squads anyway. Ridiculous. Bayern front office is taking shot after shot at them hoping to shame the club into a sale.

I think Bilbao eventually take it, they just want to send a message to their other players that it may not be worth trying to orchestrate a move elsewhere.

How do you think Bayern rank in Europe if the deal goes down? Better than Real and/or Barca? Below any other teams?

International tax law is not something I have ever studied or dealt with, but could it be as simple as him no longer living in Spain? Anyway, good to see this finally go through. I was getting sick of the obviously false rumors. But anyway, 2 of the better ones:
