Re: 2012/2013 Serie A Discussion Thread
That's completely different. Pogba should have been playing last year by all rights. Fergie brought back Scholes and kept the kid in the reserves. He clearly underestimated his talent. Just another in a long line of Fergie youth team blunders since like 1995.

Tom Cleverley. Danny Welbeck. Johnny Evans.
So many blunders. When Pogba did play for United, he wasn't good enough. He's now playing in a much slower league with less talent, of course he looks better. Fergie never questioned his talent, he just didn't see a kid that was ready to help United to the title.

Re: 2012/2013 Serie A Discussion Thread
I think you can make an argument that none of those players are really up to it at a world class level. Pogba is getting "next Vieira/Gerrard" talk. I would already rather have Pogba than Cleverley I think. Evans... not so great. I like Welbeck, he's obviously the best of the 4 players by a wide margin right now, but I worry about where his peak is; I could see him not getting any better.

Pogba has always had those comparisons due to his style of play, not so much because they're comparable talents. We'll have to wait and see where he gets to. Is he promising? Yes. Was he ready last year for United? No. He should have been sent out on loan to get regular first team action, but he expected too much from Fergie without showing a great deal when given the chance. United will always be bigger than anyone player, Pogba didn't appear to buy into that philosophy.
Oh and Those 3 players are regular starters for the best team in England, so regardless of what you think of them, they're currently producing the goods as United sit top of the league.

Re: 2012/2013 Serie A Discussion Thread
Well you didn't win any trophy last year and don't lead the table now, calling yourself the best team in England is a bit of a stretch. They start because of injuries and lack of better options. I'm sad about this because I watch the Premiership more than any other league, but the quality has really been down the last 2 years.

We lost the league in the 94th minute in the last game of the season.
We are top of the league right now having beat Chelsea and Arsenal in successive weeks. Who is this better team you speak of? Oh and an English club won the Champions League last year. Had a finalist the year before that, and even had 2 teams in the final the year before that one. All luck though right? I have facts backing up my arguments, you merely have your opinion.

Really wish American TV would expand from just PL and CL games. I really want to watch the Juventus vs. AC Milan game
