Re: 2012/2013 Bundesliga Thread
I know. It's really worrying, but I guess on the whole good for German soccer. They're going to have to replace Lewandowski though, and I think that could be very difficult. We'll see who they can get.

Re: 2012/2013 Bundesliga Thread
I love when you're in Germany. I'm not getting this news anywhere else. Don't know much about the kid from Dynamo Kiev, but Belhanda is a star and I'm sure he wants to leave Montpellier after this awful title defense.
Fake edit (just wikipedia'd him): Ohhhhhhh, Raffael is the guy who was with Hertha Berlin! That's an interesting signing for them. I don't think he can beat out Farfan/Draxler/Belhanda, but he would be a really good backup. I thought he was the only guy who could actually play on that Hertha team that got relegated. |

Re: 2012/2013 Bundesliga Thread
Sky Italia is saying Guardiola and Bayern have a deal. Haven't heard it from a German source though, but I do know that Guardiola's agent was going to have talks with Bayern today(or yesterday). Going to wait for a German source to report it before believing anything.

Raffael loaned to Schalke till seasons end with a buy option. They also are targeting Michel Bastos from Lyon who has a buyout fee somewhere between 5-7 million euros.

Re: 2012/2013 Bundesliga Thread
Earlier today I was about to post that I'm starting to believe there might be some truth to these Guardiola to Bayern rumors, but I didn't think Bayern would actually get this done.

Re: 2012/2013 Bundesliga Thread
I literally screamed when I saw this earlier today. I think I had the same reaction when van Gaal was hired. Before you think LvG was a flop, his first season was one game short of a treble.

Re: 2012/2013 Bundesliga Thread
I wonder what this does to our transfers. Will we be able to attract big names? I wonder if Robben would fit. I'd think the likelihood of Isco coming have increased(assuming the Chelsea stuff doesn't happen this month), or maybe Götze would be more intrigued with joining us. I'm really excited and love how we beat out Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea for his services.

Re: 2012/2013 Bundesliga Thread
I think it's kind of funny how van Gaal's time there is being portrayed by some now. Of course his personality adds to that and some of things he did were questionable, but he also ushered in a new era, helped bring along unknown players like Müller, Badstuber and others and overall did a lot more good than bad. This wasn't a great team when they got to the CL Final in 2010.
