The sky is the limit for this Houston hooper. Blessed with length and athleticism, Nelson had a big-time junior season at Hempstead. Plays for John Eurey’s successful AAU team which has produced the likes of TJ Ford and Daniel Ewing in recent years.

Tyrone Nelson averaged 29 points, 18 rebounds and five blocks per game as a junior at Hempstead H.S.

He signed with Baylor but was given a release from his NLI after the Dennehy investigation got underway.

That is one heck of a pick-up for Prairie View, although under very somber circumstances.

I would imagine that he would start this year and be a major factor for Prairie View.

If he stays he could be one of the best in the SWAC.
