Kenny George commits to Valparaiso

Kenny George commits to Valparaiso.

Valpo Lands Big Man (6-6-03).

Entering his senior season, he's a little on the raw side but the height can't be overlooked. He tries some post moves, but still needs development. Valparaiso accepted a commitment from him prior to the July period in 2003.

Ave 10 pts, 11 rebs and 9 blocks as jr.

Verbally committed to Valparaiso. Highly imposing defensive prescence. Averaged better than 8 blocks shots per contest as a junior. Still very raw offensively. Stamina continues to improve. Not likely to be a factor immediately. However, Valpo welcomes 6-10, 290-pound center/power forward Kenny Harris this year, and could erect a massive future frontline with George and Harris.

Looks like a decent prospect with some upside, well he choose Valpo over some pretty major schools espically IU, i'd say it might take George a few years to develop but I'd presume he will turn into a nice player.

him and jordan sabourin should have quite the match up

its too bad that nik drasevic (sp?) had the heart problems, otherwise it would be a rare matchup of 7'3 centers in low-major bball

He will never play against Kenny George who is recruit for next year as a freshman.

The big guy

Most likely a redshirt next year, assuming there's any progress from Kenny Harris. UIC had planned for him to redshirt if he went there. DePaul, Northwestern did not offer scholarships, but asked him to walk on.
