The Golden Grizzlies beat San Diego (fresh off their NCAA tournament) 93-68 in the BCA Classic hosted by the Xavier University in Cincinnati.

Mike Helms scored 31 points and Rawle Marshall added 19 points to lead the Grizzlies.

If they have improved their defense enough to go with their stellar offense, I don't see how anyone could beat them in the Mid-Con this year.

Edit: Oakland will play Illinois-Chicago in the Semis, which should be a great game.

They will move on to face either Xavier or Mercer. Either way the Golden Grizzlies have helped the conference immensely. They can beat Xavier, Missouri or Michigan this year. If they do real well OOC, they have a chance at an at-large bid which will help the conference if they were to stumble conference tournament time.
