Palmer, who hit 8-of-11 3-point attempts, tied the SUU record for 3-pointers in a game set by Kelvin Lee back in 1989. His outburst was the highest point total for a Thunderbird since Fred House scored 30 against Oral Roberts back in 2001 and the most by a T-Bird away from the Centrum since Jeff Monaco dropped 35 on UMKC in the semi-finals of the 2000 Mid-Continent Conference tournament.

Yuba City High graduate David Palmer, who played in college at Souther Utah, has signed a 10-month contract to play for the Proftejov professional team in the Czech Republic.

Palmer graduated from Yuba City in 2000 and played at American River before going on to Southern Utah.
