Transferred to Iowa Western after playing at Southwest Missouri-West Plains (MO) CC as a freshman, where he averaged seven points and five rebounds in the 2002-2003 season. Became eligible second semester. Played high school basketball at Raleigh (NC) Millbrook. His older brother, Brandon, is a junior at UMKC.
