Miami would go to the ACC, Louis(Loser)ville would go to the Big East. The Big East would lose a strong football member, but still be strong. Their basketball product would actually increase with Louisville, and (P)Rick Pitino is happy, which makes the universe happy in his world. lol.
Looks like a fair compromise. However, it defeats the whole initial purpose of the ACC expanding. It wanted the 12 teams so that is could have a championship football game, which would be worth millions on TV. I suppose, being the ACC, the NCAA would approve their petition to get that championship game anyway, with 10 teams.
I don't see why they cannot leave things alone. I doubt the ACC is hurting for money. They are just being greedy!
So, if this does happen, I doubt we'll see the big chain-reaction we have been predicting. Conf USA will end up plucking one lucky school, that'll be about it.
