Bowling Green, Ky. — Western Kentucky University men’s basketball head coach Darrin Horn announced Wednesday that three recruits submitted National Letters-of-Intent on the first day of the early signing period.
Courtney Lee, Ty Rogers and Mike Walker all committed to attend WKU beginning in August 2004. Each will have four years of eligibility.
“Darrin Horn and his staff have done a tremendous job since taking over. Western has been involved with some fine players and this year’s recruiting class is full of all-staters,” Dave Telep, director of scouting for TheInsidersHoops.com, said. “As a group, you can expect this to be an athletic collection of guys who come from winning backgrounds. The Toppers have made inroads into some key recruiting areas, including the state of Kentucky.
“The additions of Courtney Lee, Ty Rogers and Michael Walker ensure that Western will have one of the top recruiting classes in the conference, if not the No. 1 class in the Sun Belt this year.”
