I don't know much about these guys but South Alabama is looking pretty impressive thus far in their exhibition games. Jackson State is up next (@ JSU) on Saturday. GO JAGS!!!

Good grief. Coach Pelphrey is going to have them playing fast and loose. Should be fun to watch this year. I am looking forward to seeing some ESPN Full Court games and any SBC games I can get this year.

They will surprise a LOT of people this year. I thought that last year when they went 14-14. I still NEXT year is when the Jags are going to be an extremely serious threat, even against the so-called "majors" in OOC games. This year, I simply expect the Jags to be a major PITA to the SBC's current "elite" teams.

I forgot to mention the Jags have been without their "go to guy", Malerick Bedden in all of these games. He's supposed to miss the first four OOC games then should be back in the lineup. I'm VERY interested in seeing what this team is capable of when Malerick starts playing again.

Wow. I had no doubt Phelprey would get things going quick at USA. Too bad it is doubtful he will stick around long. But if you can get successful coaches to replace, you'll be fine. Tulsa has done a good job considering the coaching changes they have indured.

Yeah, I think all that has to happen is for the Jags to win the SBC and make a respectable showing in the NCAA's for Coach P. to go "bye-bye". I think we'll still have him around for the next year or three.
