FAU to the Sun Belt

This is a good addition to the Sun Belt and gives a natural rival to the FIU.

The conference seems to be rounding into shape.

Florida International
Florida Atlantic
Western Kentucky
Troy State
Arkansas-Little Rock
Arkansas State
UL-Lafayette
New Orleans
South Alabama
Denver
North Texas
Idaho

FAU to Sun Belt

I like adding FAU. I'm a huge baseball guy and Belt Baseball got even stronger with this move. You gotta love that.

If Denver and Idaho find homes elsewhere, this becomes a really nice league geographically, as well. It's still kinda spread out, but not nearly the disaster it will be with Idaho still in the league after the departures of NMSU and USU. You would have perfect travel partners across the board.

Glad to have FAU aboard. I like Denver in basketball. I think they have added something to the league, despite all the nay-sayers, but I agree that in the long run they probably will end up in a western league.

I like Denver's hoops program as well. I don't mind them in the league at all. I was just talking geographically because with NMSU and Idaho leaving, they really are pretty isolated out there.

Idaho will not stay. They will leave, either to the WAC, or drop 1A. They cannot afford travel in the Sun Belt. They never intended on competing in the Sun Belt. The whole plan just fell through for them. WAC could still pick them up.

Western Kentucky 0 - Oh my God
