When most people hear
Western Kentucky they instantly think of Chris Marcus, the 7 foot mammoth. But they proved the country wrong when they just kept winning. The team came together and now after a solid year and a healthy Marcus, the Hilltoppers are feeling good.
"I'm sure everyone thought we were a one-man team," now-senior forward David Boyden said in the article. "When Chris was hurt (last season), we didn't allow ourselves to get down for long," Boyden said. "We only talked about the injury amongst ourselves once. I knew we would band together. We knew that all of the guys on the team could play. Then things just clicked."
How long will the fellas do this year? Will the slipper still fit? Or are they legit? The Sun Belt conference is perhaps the most underrated conference in the country. That will bode well for them in March. But lastly...#8? Is that too high?
