Yes most definitely. I never really appreciated it until this past yr when I was away at school in Ancaster (Hamilton). I grew up in the city, and I just love the way it's always on. Like even in the early hours of the morning, there are some cars on the road, the streetlights are on. There are just so many ppl of so many different ethnicities, I find it quite enjoyable. I could see how someone who grew up in the country or something, wouldn't like the city, but having spent pretty much my whole life here or at least my whole life that I can remember, I enjoy the whole big city feeling....

I can honestly say it one of the best cities in the world, you can walk downtown in the middle of the night and not have to look over your shoulder. It is clean, the TTC is great, it takes you almost anywhere.
As for chill spots the plaza at yorkmills and leslie and fairview.

Toronto is a great city to live in, it's relatively affordable, it's clean, safe and secure. The only problem i have with this city is that, it's too big. It takes too much time to get from one place to another, and with today's gas prices that's a disadvantage. I understand there's public tranportation, but some people just don't like to use them.

I grew up in a town of 4000 people. Toronto is too big for me, Jehuisthere is right. I live in Hamilton now and go to University, and I think it's funny, because Hamilton seems like "the city" to me, and a lot of my friends from Toronto don't like Hamilton because it's "too small". To each their own, I guess.

Wow...a lot of people in the hamilton area posting on here. I grew up in the hammer (west end) and I hate that city with a passion. It is such a whole. The west end is ok, but there is very little to do. The public transport sucks and frankly the students (primarily imports) are the only people with much. I left after high school and haven't been back since. I lived in toronto for two years to do some grad work. Great city, amazing transportation and always something to do. but its huge and dirty in places. but I loved all the entertainment...and the women...so many women.
I'm living in ottawa now, and i miss all the big city aspects of the big smoke but ottawa is gorgous. I pay half the rent I would in toronto and everything...I mean everything is in walking distance. part of me misses toronto. All the concerts, sporting events, and women...but like others have said its huge and increasingly dangerous
