How unfortunate for the Grunwald family that they must live through the anguish of a family member who is a homeless schizophrenic. Very little can be done for such unfortunate people.
As for Grunwald's observation that most homeless people are mentally disturbed only exposes the cold-hearted treatment of these people by our governments -- provincial and federal. Since this is also a political issue the truth must be stated.
Our governments are reducing medical and hospital services because they know our country cannot support the coming Baby Boomer pandemic who are obese, lazy, gluttons and are already sick in their 40's. The politicians are reducing services so that the terminally ill will die more quickly, without timely and costly medical care, and that will help clear the public health system. Old people are not a good investment because caring for them will bankrupt the medicare system.
This may sound heartless, but that is the reality of the situation ..... just like the reality of situation in which the Raptors find themselves. Perhaps it is best to bite the bullet and clean out the many scrubs from the Raptor's roster at any cost and just invest in fast, young, athletic players who are eager to prove themselves and earn the big $$$$$$$.
Out with the old and in with the young ....
