The Leafs traded a conditional 2006 Draft Pick for Jeff O'Neill, adding some muscle to the roster.

They then drafted Tuukka Rask, a Finnish goalie, with the 21st pick.

They drafted two defensemen: Phil Oreskovic from the Brampton Batallion (82nd) and Anton Stralman from Sweden (216th).

They also drafted three forwards: Alex Barry, a winger from the Junior Bruins (153rd), Johan Dahlberg, a winger from Sweden (173rd), and Chad Rau, a centre from Des Moins (228th).
