has anyone seen Pirates 2? I saw it the other night and I was really confused at some parts of the movie, maybe some of you guys can help me out.
- Why was Jack on the island where he was treated like a God?
- What the hell was that game they were playing with the dice...I know they bet years of servitude but what exactly happened (the father came in and...)?
- Who exactly is the new general (i think) who receives the treasure from the commodore in the end?
- What exactly is the purpose of Jack's compass?
- If the kraken was only looking for Jack, then why did he come back after abandoning ship?
- Did Elizabeth do something wrong in the end? I mean, was she just doing what she felt was best for the group?
- How the hell can the captain of the Black Pearl still be alive & how exactly do they plan to rescue Jack is he's already dead?

I'll answer the few ones I know.

The dice game that Will Turner plays with Davy Jones is called Liar's Dice, a gambling game where each player has to make consecutively higher bids based upon how many of each die they claim are on the table (two threes, four fives, etc.), until a player is called a liar, in which case all the dice are shown and it's seen if the bid is correct.

The purpose of Jack's compass is that it points to whatever the he truly desires. So, when Keira Knightley's character, Elizabeth Swann had it, and it pointed in the direction of Jack, it showed that she truly wanted Jack and not Will...which was a relatively large plot point.

I swear I know why they treated Jack like a God but I can't remember right now...I'm sorry I'm so inadequate. I didn't even see part one but I tremendously enjoyed part 2. I hope I helped at least a little bit.

I don't think the Kraken wants Jack, Davy Jones just summons it to kill Jack or anyone.

i hated this movie with a passion!! i can't stand movies that are only made to make money.. and make people have to wait for another sequel to get some kind of ending.

first of all, where did this intense desire for jack sparrow come from in elizabeth swann? first the compass shows her the direction of Will.. then later all of a sudden its pointing at jack.

anyways.. the dude gettin the heart in the end and giving it to the commodore is the guy who was supposed to mary elizabeth swann in the first movie.. but for some reason has been hiding in shame for some reason

haha.. what i dont get is. what the hell is so appealing about elizabeth swann... she's hot.. yeah.. but for the most part.. her character is so annoying... and like to go around fallin in love with anyone she'll spend about an hour of movie time with after being engaged to someone else

They treated Jack like a God because they thought he was their long-lost leader or god or something along those lines.
