Re: Raptors Forum GM Draft Discussion Thread
i'd like your team alot better if rasho wasn't your starting PF.
shaq, albeit an old shaq is still shaq, bibby is constantly underrated, and lost weight this offseason to gain quickness, ricky davis gets a bad name he doesn't deserve, and finley, we didn't get to see much of in SA, childress will constantly have one of the top fg% and boykins is the little big-man. keep building.

Re: Raptors Forum GM Draft Discussion Thread
With my consecutive picks I select...
Charlie Bell
and
Andris Biedrins
I think this two picks are steals..considering that they will play vital minutes on their NBA team, especially Bell who can be the Bucks' starting PG this season...and Biedrins will play as a solid center for the Warriors especially that O'Bryant is out for 4 months...
PG: Jason Kidd | Charlie Bell
SG: Eddie Jones | Marquis Daniels
SF: Shane Battier
PF: Emeka Okafor
C: Channing Frye | Andris Bierdins
thoughts on my team?

I like your team in that it has good quality professionals, and a nice mix of veterans and youngsters. While Kidd and Jones are pretty creaky old guys, I still think they give you decent perimeter defense, especially when you throw Battier into the mix. I suspect Daniels would need to play heavy minutes for a reserve, since I don't know how much Jones has left in his tank. Okafor and Frye is a nice mix up front, assuming everyone's healthy. You don't have great shooting, although Bell can help with that.
My main question is who's the go-to guy? Either Okafor or Frye will end up as the leading scorer, but neither really has the makings of a lead scorer in my opinion. I would expect them each to average about 15 ppg in 2006-07, which leaves you a lot of points to make up elsewhere in your roster. You should have one of the league's better defensive teams, but I think additional scorers need to be a very high priority with your last few picks.

Re: Raptors Forum GM Draft Discussion Thread
maybe ravor will give you beidrins, and choose another big man before anybody else picks, there's still a few equal if not better players then andris.
i've moved donyell marshall to my bench where he comes off in cleveland, eddie griffin will start alongside amare for some more down-low defense and ability to stretch the D.
so in actuality... my bench that consists of bobby jackson & donyell is very strong... plus another pick in... 5 picks.
