Re: Raptors Forum GM Draft Discussion Thread
Okay, if we're really at 3 hrs. per pick and no sleep time, then it looks like I'm actually up. If I've got it wrong, someone please tell me. I'll make my selection in the next few minutes.

Re: Raptors Forum GM Draft Discussion Thread
This could end up being a throwaway pick--I know Lindsey Hunter had an off-year last season due to injuries, he's never been a terribly efficient offensive player, and he's a geezer as far as NBA guards go. But he's still got some gas left in the tank and as my 12th man I don't need him to do much. He's a good defender, has winning experience, can play spot minutes at both backcourt positions, and when healthy has shown he can stick the 3-point shot.

Basically same as before. I think you have a good, pretty rugged team, very solid in most spots on defense, good ball movement, great blend of vets and youngsters. Bell will be important because of his shooting and his ability to play both guard spots. In fact, you have a lot of versatility at the perimeter positions. I think it's a playoff team, but not a contender at this point since I don't see who carries the team on offense at crunch time. I doubt anyone on this team averages 20 ppg next year. Okafor and Channing are probably your top scorers, in whatever order, and other teams will respect them but not necessarily fear them. Without a blue-ribbon scorer who can take over when the game is on the line, Kidd has shown that he'll slide into that role, and he's not really an efficient enough scorer to make it work in the long run.
So again, a very nice team, should be a playoff team in this league, and unless you can pull off a last second trade for more firepower, it's probably one or two rounds and out.

Re: Raptors Forum GM Draft Discussion Thread
I can't believe someone picked up Othella Harrington, I thought for sure he was mine. Well nice pick up, and it's back to the drawing boards for me.
