Re: Raptors Forum GM Draft Discussion Thread
As an aside, there are several teams that to my mind have some players seriously out of position. I don't know if these are just innocent mistakes or wishful thinking, but I would suggest that if anyone's uncertain about their rotation they spend a few minutes looking into what positions their players normally play and are capable of playing. (For example, check out each player's bio on databasebasketball.com to see how they're listed.)
I think this is more than me just being nitpicky. As far I'm concerned it should hurt you in the voting if you're putting someone in a position they've never played, or maybe that they played briefly early in their career but not well. Examples include slow seven-foot stiffs at power forward, black hole swingmen at point guard, and slower power forwards at small forward.
Okay, maybe this is just me being nitpicky...

all my players are in positions they play, can play or have played. there's some debate over eddie griffin being C but we all know he fills in on the t-wolves, he could also move to pf if i wanted, to play al harrington at sf, josh howard could also play sg, and jamal crawford at pg, but as is, all my players are in position.
good point

I don't disagree. At least you're not relying on Griffin to play starter's minutes in the pivot. He can do spot duty at all three frontcourt positions. And I think Harrington's stuck in tweenerville, but he's probably best at PF...just isn't a strong rebounder there.

Re: Raptors Forum GM Draft Discussion Thread
I don't think that anyone is out of postion on my roster. Not even stretching to play at a certain position (aka playing a big PF at C because it's hard to find C talent). Dwight Howard has been playing PF on the Magic previously, but him and Darko are interchangeable at PF/C in my mind, no true starting PF, or starting C. Dwight usually will cover the bigger, stronger bigman on defense, whether they are a PF or C (aka KG when playing the Wolves or Brad Miller when playing the Kings).

That site is a joke. It has Diaw as a Guard, Howard as a Forward, and Swift as a Center.

Re: Raptors Forum GM Draft Discussion Thread
I'm PMing all the participants with skipped picks. Once they make their selections, voting will begin IN THE OFF-TOPIC FORUM. What will happen first is everybody with an eastern conference team will vote on the western conference teams and vice versa. Then we'll have playoffs (and at that time there'll have to be some major spamming on other forums to get people in the off-topic forum to vote).

ya Darko's gonna start at PF this year with DHO at C. Which makes Dwight a much more valuable in fantasy leagues.
