Re: Eastern Conference Quarterfinals: (1) Washington Wizards vs. (8) Indiana Pacers
WASHINGTON WIZARDS
As you can see I have selected two superstars so my majority of the offense will run through them. We are not looking for "run and gun", but instead, play half court set ups and play solid perimeter defense. My interior defense was looking a little weak in the beginning which is why I brought in Adonal Foyle, and Raef LaFrentz to help inside. Also Brendan is more then capable to give me 8rpbs and 1.5blks atleast, that is all I ask from him.
I dont need my bigs to score much but just play solid defense inside and grab rebounds. Picked up Q.rich and Damon Jones to stretch the defense and come off the bench to knock down quick threes and boost some offense off the bench. Darrell Armstrong and Toni are my vets to lead my young guys on the court and show some leadership. I can go with many different line ups. To start I would have -
PG- Chris Duhon (Great floor general, able to distribute to my main guns with great passing skills, very good defender, doesnt need to score much, just hit the open three and create plays for PP and Wade)
SG- Dwyane Wade (A true superstar, able to break down the defense and slash to the basket, explosive scorer, outstanding athlete, tough defender, good play making skills with a unstoppable crossover, great perimeter defender and is an amazing athlete)
SF- Paul Pierce (A SCORER. Able to create his own shots and for others. Can hit a jumper from anywhere on the floor. Great 3pt shooter. Attacks the basket on a regular basis which allows him to get to the freethrow line. Very powerful for a SF, with good leaping skills. Good defensive player on the perimeter, and is a good rebounder, great clutch performer)
PF- Shareef Abdur-Rahim (All round talent, All Star in the league. Production might have dropped a little but due to limited minutes. If given time on the court can put up easily 16ppg and 9rpb at this time of his career. Can score inside and out. )
C- Brendan Haywood ( Lock down defender. Huge body frame, great rebounder and shot blocker)
Bench:
Quentin Richardson( great athlete, and 3pt shooter)
Raef LaFrentz ( good interior defender, able to hit the 3, also blocks and rebounds)
Damon Jones ( Great 3pt shooter, not very good in play making skills)
Marko Jaric ( good defender, good scorer and play maker)
Toni Kucoc (scorer)
Adonal Foyle (great shot blocker, and a good rebounder)
Darrell Armstrong( vet PG, able to shoot and has good play making abilities)
To get a faster game going we can and push the ball we can go with a line up with-
PG- Dwyane Wade
SG- Quentin Richardson
SF- Paul Pierce
PF- Shareef Adur-Rahim
C- Raef LaFrentz
For match-ups against bigger Cs n PFs we can also put Raef at PF and Adonal Foyle at the C, or have Brendan at the C.
We can also go small to make it harder for other teams and have, Damon Jones, Dwyane Wade, Paul Pierce, Toni Kucoc, and Raef.

Re: Eastern Conference Quarterfinals: (1) Washington Wizards vs. (8) Indiana Pacers
Because the people who voted against me didnt look at the match -ups, they just have someting personal against me.
Anyways, they don't have a go -to player. Whos going to stop my 2 SUPERSTARS? Dwyane Wade and Paul Pierce.
My bench will out play theirs.

Re: Eastern Conference Quarterfinals: (1) Washington Wizards vs. (8) Indiana Pacers
honestly i dont see how indiana has the ability to stop Wade and Pierce.
Indiana's bench is slightly better, but hwo the hell do you stop Wade, Pierce (and SAR for that matter)
are you kidding me? this should be a sweep.

Re: Eastern Conference Quarterfinals: (1) Washington Wizards vs. (8) Indiana Pacers
I just can't vote against Wade and Pierce in the first round. That's a silly pairing.
But this series will exhaust them because they'll have to do everything. Washington's bench is weaker, and while they have nice depth in the middle they really aren't impressive there. Wallace will eat their bigs for lunch, and Indiana has two other players who are starting in the NBA at center this year (and playing well so far), while Washington actually has zero at the moment. I think West should outplay Shareef, and Parker should have a huge series.
So yes, the two do-it-all superstars should carry the day. But will really have to do it all, and that may be tougher to pull off deeper into the playoffs.
Washington in 7. Barely.

Re: Eastern Conference Quarterfinals: (1) Washington Wizards vs. (8) Indiana Pacers
Why do people think we have a weak bench? Some of my players who I have are on a NBA team right now where they arent getting playing time due to some younger talent that team has and they want to use them. But keep in check Raef is still capable of providing some good defense down low and rebound, while i have Damon Jones, Darrell Armstrong, Q-Rich, and Marko Jaric to come in can keep the offense running. SAme thing can be said for SAR.

You've got a great bench, in general, as far as I'm concerned.
