I own a Playstation 2, and would like to know how this game is. Is it worth the $70+? What are some of the features? Has the Franchise mode changed for better or worse... etc....

I would appriciate if someone could run down the game features and sum it up a little.

Since when does it take more than $55 to buy a game? I've never spent $70 on a game before. Anyway, it really depends if you like playing slow-paced, half court basketball, because that's what ESPN basketball is. The franchise mode is pretty good, and the 24/7 mode gets old pretty fast because it is repititous.

Well there's a ton of sliders to make it more uptempo if that's what you want. At least there was in 2k3... I'm gonna get it on Wednesday when it comes out for Xbox.

this game is GREAT.

Franchise mode is great. i like how players progress or degress based on their performance each game. i actually had Bosh move up from 72 to 74........but now he's back to 72 again

the gameplay kicks ***. it focuses much more on defense compared to the last game, which is . every game i'd rather see how much i can shut down the opponent rather than how many points i get.

but not only is the franchise mode kick ***, but there's also a new mode called 24/7. basically, this acts like an RPG type game where you create your custom player, train him from time to time, and go up 1on1 on different turfs against different players. the harder you train, the better you get.

overall, it's defintely worth the asking price.

I have to wait until Tuesday to get it, but I'm expecting to spend around $80 with taxes and everything (for the Xbox version). It is expensive, but if you go to Electronics Boutique, you can trade in your copy of 2K3 for like $15-$20, so it's not so bad. I'm giving back NBA 2K3 and Ghost Recon when I buy it. That way it's only like $40-$45 out of pocket.

i traded ASB 2004 for it, and got around 30-35 off, making the game $40 for me

i got tired of this game in A DAY, my advice is never buy a basketball game 2 years in a row.....i had NBA 2K3 and now ESPN Basketball is sh!t to me imma trade this game

I have 2k3 and 2k2, gonna trade 'em both in for ESPN. And I didn't get tired of 2k3 after a day even though I had 2k2, and before that 2k1, so there goes your logic.

I didn't get tired of 2K3 after having 2K2 either, but you must agree that 2K3 was really easy on every difficulty level when you have already mastered 2K2. Thank God for Xbox Live.
