Well if we did have an NFL team, which would be awesome, then the CFL would most likely move the Argos to Newfoundland or somewhere on the East coast.

The CFL has an agreement with the NFL that says that CFL players can sign with NFL teams when they become restricted free agents. In return the CFL gets a lot of money. I guess the CFL acts as a bit of a developmental league for the NFL along the lines of NFL europe.

Slasher is right. I don't think the league would fold just because it lost the Argos. They were talking about the Argos moving to London or possibly Halifax anyways this year. The league doesn't need its weakest market to survive.
ps. I'm a big CFL fan AND a big NFL fan. I don't get why it doesn't seem anyone can admit to being both.......

I don't like football all that much, but it would be nice to see a major market such as the NFL in Toronto.

yes it does..in the longterm it does...it can move for a couple of years..but the center of marketing and funding for the cfl comes from toronto...no toronto team= no cfl... plain and simple

^^i dont agree i dont think Toronto is vital to the CFL....they should build a high-tech football stadium on centre island (that would be amazing!)

What's the point of WATCHING games of a Torontonian NFL team, when you can PLAY games in your school Football team?

What's the point of watching the Raptors, then?
What's the point of watching a movie when you can put on a play in your own living room?
I played football in highschool for five years, but I was no where near good enough to make my college team. If I could play, I would, but I don't see what that has to do with going to and enjoying a live sporting event.

In all seriousness, are you mentally retarded?
Seriously 90% of your posts make no sense, why would fans want a Toronto NFL team, when we can play football on our school teams?
Your weird.
About Toronto having an NFL team, I would love that, I follow the NFL, and footballs my second favourite sport behind basketball, but I HATE CFL, can't stand it, there not even the best at what there doing, that's why i'd want a NFL team in toronto so bad. Tennessee will still be my favourite NFL team, though.

None of you see the real picture. Since I doubt we're ever going to get an NFL team, why won't you atleast play it to contain your excitement for football? Do I make myself more clear?

I'd love to play football myself, but my school doesn't have a team, and even if they did I probably wouldn't be good enough to play much anyway, if I made the team in the first place.
Watching the NFL I do a lot though, and having a team in Toronto would be great because I'd actually be able to go to games instead of always watching on TV. It's just like going to a Raptors game is a lot more fun than watching it on TV.
