Anyway, I believe a couple years ago the Saints were rumoured to move to Toronto, and in 1995 I know that some Toronto company tried to get an expansion team to come here.

I am a big NFL fan who happens to be a canadian. I hope that toronto gets an NFL team so that more canadian people can get into football. (real football not that CFL ****) It would be great for canada, the NFL and football in general if toronto got a team.

Yea I'm in agreement, I've been hoping for a long time that Toronto would get a football team. Personally I don't care at all about the CFL, so if it folded cuz Toronto got a team, I wouldn't care. But Toronto is the weakest market in the CFL, so if the CFL lost the Argos, I don't think it'd matter other than from a historical perspective. If for example, baseball lost the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, would the whole league shutdown? Unlikely. I know Toronto is a big market, but there isn't much support for CFL in the city as witnessed by the poor support for the Argos. On the other hand, alot of youth from my generation grew up watching NFL and are quite into it. A team in Toronto would be well recieved and would have a strong backing. Right now I'm a Colts fan, and the only way I'd ever not support the Colts would be if Toronto got a team in which case I'd have torn allegiances. But it's doubtful we'll get one for reasons that have already been mentioned as well as the fact that the NFL is at 32 teams which is a nice and even number. So our only hope is that an existing NFL team moves to Toronto like say the Bills after Ralph Wilson passes away or something...

Weren't the argos gonna go bankrupt anyway? I remember hearing things last season about it. So if they were gonna go bankrupt, I really don't think it would affect the CFL if they moved to the NFL.

also theres no canadian NFL team because there isnt perceived to be the interest, because the NFL will look at the CFL and not see a good market there. Whether that is right or wonrg is not yet proven.

i heard we don't have an NFL team cuz we currently don't have a place for them to play.

the skydome is perceived to be too small and it would cost extra $$$ to put up another stadium.
