Amare Stoudemire??

I know the Raptors are going to be leaning towards picking a gaurd in the draft, but what if this guy is still on the board when we pick?

I haven't seen much of him, but most mock drafts have him going around the 20th pick. I think he could develope quickly with our veterans tutoring him. I would love to see us drafting a big man with the potential to be a dominat force instead of a never-ending project (yogi, bradley, mama).

I say if he is still there I think our mamgement has to be wiling to take a chance on a project player. We have the veterans to help him develope quickly and the thought of a post player who can eventually draw double teams and free up Vince, would be very sweet!!

First off, I don't think he'll be available at 20. Not a chance in my opinion.

But if he is, I say let him go. Sure he can be great, but he'll only be great in a few years! He's a high schooler, and by the time he starts playing decently, he'll be a free agent. What if he doesn't like Toronto? He'll just leave for nothing and screw us ala T-Mac. PASS!

The way this kid is being hyped I think he could contribute much sooner then most overlookers expect. He could be a bust, or he could be a star.

An obvious risk management must take, but I've read he's a hard worker with a positive head on his shoulders. So if you would be willing to take a risk, he's a good choice.

Hey Budweiser_boy, do you still think Toronto has the same effect on free agents as when McGrady left. This is a different team then before, and GG has signed acouple of free agents in the past year or two. If a rookie out of high school comes to T.O. and gets to play with Vince, AD, Keon, and even learning from the dream he would be impressed. Maybe even like the city.

P.S. Did anyone see Vince and JYD at the muchmusic awards on stage with Bow wow? Vince was looking GQ.

I know it's different, but Amare not liking Toronto wouldn't have anything to do with it, just personal preferance. Free agents may have softened up to Toronto after last summer, but if he doesn't like Toronto, then he won't stay!

Did you see Vince dance lol smooth smooth.
His knee must be fully recovered from surgery because he was pullin out all the steps.

For anyone who dident see it, Lil Bow Wow called Vince up in the middle of his song and Vince got right in the middle of the stage and started doing his thing infront of everyone.

I cant wait till Vince's all star game.

True, but I'm just looking at it from a positive standpoint. That standpoint being that he would want too stay and be happy with our current situation.

Its almost impossible for him to be still on the board by our pick (20th).....no way he's gonna fall past 15. If we had our original pick theres a chance.......but with 20 i dont think so

I've heard that the Raptors want to trade their first rounder at RealGM and I don't blame them because they won't be able to really improve in any of their weaknesses with pick 20.

BTW, if Stoudamire is available at pick 18 then he will be going to Orlando you can mark my words on that one.
