I think with Boshs speed/athleticism plus his huge wingspan, he should have little problem guarding the quicker SF's in the league.

I don't think defense will be the problem for him, I think it will be offense. Bosh simply doesn't have the ballhandling skills to be a small forward in the league.. I can definetly see him turning the ball over a lot at the three.

I hope he proves me wrong and he drastically improved his ballhandling, because last year it was really shakey.

Maybe they are seeing how Bosh is at SF cause they are getting offers for PF for Carter, someone like SAR, and they are seeing how it would work out.

More realistically though, they are probably seeing Bosh as starting PF and are just seeing if SF could be a realistic second position for him, and thats probably it. Also the Raps already have Carter, Rose, and Murray who are all natural SF and so i wouldnt expect to see CB at SF very oftern if at all during the season.

Thats an excellent point, hadn't thought of that.
Hellbot also touched on D, has anyone heard what kind of defense Mitchell likes? Will it be straght man to man, or will he throw some zone in? If we're gonna play some zone then Bosh could def play some SF.

I personally think he should be played mainly as a PF. I think they're thinking about develpoping a KG type game for him, but he can play it from the PF spot (like KV) and wouldn't have to play SF, just use that practise to focus on the perimeter aspect of his game.
