Were we to harsh on glen grundwald???
Its times like these where i miss Glen very very much, yes he couldn't draft for beans but i remember his uncanny ability to make wonderful trades when no one expected them to happen. Maybe its the post trade hangover talking and frustration for our current joke of a GM but goddamn i am pissed off

I never thought Glen was a poor GM, but at the same time the few mistakes he made were so major that you can't look past them. So far Babcock's mistakes haven't amounted to close to losing McGrady, signing Alvin, Jerome, Hakeem, and 'Tone to hefty contracts, drafting Bradley and Jeffries, or hiring Kevin O'Neill.

Everyone knew that Antonio Davis was going to get traded.
That wasn't much of a surprise at all.

It was "I trust KO".
I don't blame O'Neill. I think we didn't have the players to match the coach. With the right group of guys I think he would've been a fine coach.
I blame Grunwald for selecting someone who was unlikely to gel with the team, though.

Re: Were we to harsh on glen grundwald???
Grunwald was good in the beginning but then suck near the end of his career with the Raps when he started signing garbage players and just trying to patch up problems wit our team with no name cheap free agenst.. im glaid hes gone... I still trust Babcock but when I read some of these trades like the Spurs and the Kincks and the Kincks and Houston how could we not of gotten something for Marshall????

Re: Were we to harsh on glen grundwald???
most interesting possibility, could we have gotten 2 first rounders plus Malik Rose for Donyell? I don't know, but if so, we would then have two players named Rose that are overpaid, but more assets to play with (2 first rounders)
GM's around the league will have to see if this guy is for real, before he gets any respect in negotiations. Right now, Babcock is that scrawny little kid on the playground that always gets jacked for his lunch money. He needs to get away for a summer, bulk up and make everyone forget this year's decisions.

I think we're being too harsh on Babcock as it is. People have absolutely zero patience in Toronto.
