2nd Round could make Raps playoff team

the success of a draft is often measured by the players that the scouts are able to steal at the end of the draft... i think that with Toronto's 7th and 16th picks... we will become a much better team.. but if we select those two perfect choices in the second round.. we could become that much better

41st
If the raps get a shot at Bynum @ 16.. id like the raps to be looking to keep alston as a starter and get their backup pg with this pick.

PG's that might be available in order of my favorite
1. Louis Williams
2. John Gilchrist
3. Nate Robinson
4. Daniel Ewing

58th
This pick is usually just a formality... but if i see that Stephen Graham will be available here... and im Babcock.. i jump at the chance to grab him

based on his genes alone, being the twin brother of the most athletic player in the draft... i would take a shot at Graham. put him in as a defensive 3, or 2.. and you could possibley have the steal of the draft.

In a workout with his twin bro... he did just as good and better than Joey in a number of areas, as well as looking more smooth and fluid. He got stuck in the post in college but in high school played pg.. .and has some ball handling instincts...

next year our team could look a lot younger and athletic...

C Andrew Bynum, Rafael Araujo,
PF Chris Bosh, Matt Bonner, Pape Sow
SF Morris Peterson, Stephen Graham
SG Gerald Green, Jalen Rose
PG Rafer Alston, John Gilchrist

that team looks pretty solid going into the future...

Re: 2nd Round could make Raps playoff team

I agree 100%. This is a very deep draft even though the talent at the top of the first round is not that great. There are many solid players that could be acquired in the early second round. A generally considered mid to later first round talent could drop to spot 41 also. At spot 58 a potentialy fairly solid role player or a quite skilled player with issues such as Banks or Gichrist could be available. Given the depth of talent there will be plenty of quality choices for the Raptors to make in terms of best player available or need based on the first round picks.

How many playoff teams have second rounders THEY picked as key members of there team.

One (Rashard Lewis), who should have never fell too the second in the first place. Anybody else.

There are teams that rely on players drafted after the first round... but usually they become NBA players 4-5 years after drafted.... and with another team.

uhhh.. Ginobli, Damon Jones, Kyle Korver, Ben Wallace, Rashard Lewis, Chris Duhon, Udonis Haslem, Brad Miller, I'm fairly sure Stephen Jackson, Earl Boykins, Marqies Daniels just to name a few.. I do not understand the logic particularly. If you find a gem in the second round or undrafted then you have better cap space, and more talented (assuming you make a solid first round selection as well)

EDIT: THEY Picked.. scratch Wallace, Miller, Jackson, Jones, and Boykins..
