Raptors Looking At Paul, Williams
Quote:

It's believed the Raps would desperately love to move up and grab either Williams or Paul but they will likely stay at seven since they are reluctant to part with the No. 16 pick. If they do they are taking Granger, Green or Channing Frye.

Wow. If they can get Deron Williams, but aren't willing to trade #16.. then wow.

He's equally a waste of a high pick.

He has more skills (leaping, shooting, shotblocking) but he is a poor rebounder and is a face-up player who doesn't play in the paint.

Yeah, this is scary. I'm worried this means they've promised someone to be picked at 16 (Blatche? ), and therefore they can't trade it. Terrible move to promise a pick because of just this scenario, you can't trade it when a great offer comes along.

I don't think that promise is true, at least not when we expect another prospect we've talked a lot more about, such as Jack or Ukic, at that spot.

Re: Raptors Looking At Paul, Williams
I'd like to know the logic between passing on Williams or Paul for any player projected to go near the 16th.
