Re: Ford's take on what the Raptors should do...

Gadzuric would be a nice pick up for Toronto, he is young and can run the floor for a big man. Dan would be able to play solid minutes as a bench player, also he could handle spot starts due to injury or whatnot. I would say that Rob would have to do some house cleaning before we bring on any more players into the roster, I don't see any free agent signings until we have waived or traded away an extra body or two.(Murray, Aa Williams)

Re: Ford's take on what the Raptors should do...

I think if they sign Gadzuric it would be as starting C. In fact, I can't see Dan coming here unless he is assured of that.

In 22 minutes he put up 7 & 8 with 1.3 blocks. The blocks are better than Magloire and if he can play 34 minutes his scoring and rebounding could be better as well. Excellent offensive rebounder.

He's 27 so should have another 5-7 years left in him.

Only problem is it makes the Charlie pick look even more odd. Bosh, Dan, and Charlie would take almost all the minutes at 4/5 leaving nothing for Sow and Hoffa and also limit Bonner to spot duty at the 3.

Wonder if Babs is looking to trade Hoff or Sow as part of a package.

Yeah, if we pick up a guy like Gazdzuric that would leave no time for guys like Araujo and Sow. We could send them down to the NBDL, but I think people want to see Araujo develop in the NBA right now.

Hoffa put up very nice numbers in NCAA. So I don't see what sending him to the NBDL is going to do for him except ruin his confidence even more. Not like the C talent down there is anything close to the NBA level. Hoff needs to adjust to NBA speed and length. The only way to do that is playing time.

I would trade him before I send him down to the D league.

I think he will end up back on the Bucks.. can phase out Joe Smith to give him time.

Re: Ford's take on what the Raptors should do...

best to try to get future picks for both the williams & murray whether it be a 2nd rnd or a future 1st rnd 2 years down the road just get rid of them.

opening night roster

PG Alston Williams UKic
SG Peterson Rose
SF Rose Grahem Bonner
PF Bosh Villinueva Bonner Sow
C Aruaja Villinueava Sow

I dont think we will sign any Fa's no cap room it will be hard enough to trade Aaron & Lamond.
