Re: anyone have a problem with graham?

If we ever start Omar Cook, that is the day that I stop watching raptor's basketball. Cook isn't even good enough to be on an Nba roster. Alston is good enough to last another year for us, then trade him next yr and see what we can get in the draft as a PG next yr.

Also, Charlie at the 5? I don't think so.. Maybe against a small team, but any team with a big 5 will man handle charlie easily.

Wow. I think there's 29 GMs who do this deal, and one who doesn't. I guess we'll see when they step on the court.

Re: anyone have a problem with graham?

If i had to choose between this year's roster and last years right now I would take this years. Last years roster might get more wins but has no potential to ever be a contender.

Saying that last year's roster is simply better is shortsighted at best. That roster didn't work 2 years ago or the beginning of last year for a reason. Furthermore, it was vet heavy which means that there is little or no potential to get better.

Just think, if that lineup had lasted all year Bosh would have averaged 10 shots a game. Thats hardly enough to help with development.

Re: anyone have a problem with graham?

Well drlove_playa, if you don't like the idea of Charlie at 5 then I suggest you don't watch any Raptor games this year because that is the plan as stated by Babcock himself who constantly calls Charlie a 4/5. He was drafted as a big man.

And why can't Cook start? The only knock on him is his jumper, that's it. He runs the offense better, is a better passer, and a FAR better defender. Plus he is hungry and coachable.

Re: anyone have a problem with graham?

I don't see any problems with the Graham pick.

He has one glaring upside that puts him ahead of Granger.. injury proneness (sp?). (see Carter, Vince)

He is a talented wing player that can through it down hard. He's got a stronger game than MoPete in that he takes it to the rack without settling for a shot, which is what the raps need.

Danny's 'injuries' are overrated.

Not slamming Joey (love him), but there's not too much to argue against Granger. If Graham's only upside on Granger is his health, then you're clutching at straws.

"I really like him...to me he's already pretty special," Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki said after continually getting beat to the basket by Bosh. "He's going to be a great player in this league."

"Chris Bosh really has emerged to be a star in this league. There are more than the top three (in the 2003 draft)." - Dwyane Wade

I love everything about him, I love his game, I love his work ethic. He definitely has my approval - Kobe Bryant"
