Ukic gone at 41: Who do you take?
If Ukic were gone at 41, as he probably should have been, who would you have wanted Babs and co to select?

Taft, IMO. Good value at 41.

Re: Ukic gone at 41: Who do you take?
yeah, Martynas (or maybe Blatche) and Gilchrist would have been a very good second round; however, I'd probably still go for Ukic
I might lean towards Louis Williams. He's a combo guard that could fit our system and seems like another die-hard basketball guy.

Re: Ukic gone at 41: Who do you take?
To tell the truth, when there was only pick #40 ahead of us and Ukic wasn't called yet, I was routing for either Ukic or Randolph Morris. Unfortunately, Morris wasn't even taken at all in the draft ... so i guess i don't know my bball.
From the people you mentioned, I would have loved to get Vicious with #41 or Williams ... great projects. Unfortunately, we need help now (less risks) and these guys would take too long and are too risky. So long that their contracts would be over and we wouldn't want to resign them. So I guess Chris Taft might have been a good pickup as he is less of a project (imo?) than Vicious or Williams.
Nice thread.

Re: Ukic gone at 41: Who do you take?
Louis Williams but taft would have been a decent pick as well to seriously ad superior size up front.

Re: Ukic gone at 41: Who do you take?
Chris Taft. He could turn out to be an even bigger steal than Ukic.

Re: Ukic gone at 41: Who do you take?
I'd definately take Taft.
Man I wish we had another early 2nd round pick.
Imagine Charlie, Joey Graham, Roko Ukic and Chris Taft in the same draft!

Spot on.
Taft in the top 20 isn't good. Taft at 41 is.
