I think Mo will keep his starting spot. He started getting on a roll at the end of the season, hopefully he can keep that rolling into this year.
We have yet to see the best of Mo Pete imo.

Re: What will be the starting lineup at the beginning/middle/end of the season??
I have a feeling that the only rookie that has a good chance of starting is ukic. I think the raps will still go with araujo at C for the majority of the season. His number should improve slightly and his minutes should increase as he learns how to stop getting into foul trouble. I think araujo can be a steady yet unimpressive center this year, perhaps like jason collins of new jersey or brendan haywood of washington. Bosh will obviously be starting, I don't think Rose will be benched again. Mopete will likely be starting until he goes into a slump, joey graham and eric williams will compete for his spot as the second swingman.
The only position that is up for grabs is at point guard. I think alvin williams' body can no longer sustain starter minutes, he will likely come off the bench and calm the team when things get out of control. That is if he stays healthy enough to play, a big question mark as to how his body is after these years. Nobody knows what will happen with Rafer this season. He could be free of adversity and just play quality basketball or his past problems may resurface again. If Ukic plays for toronto this year and turns out to be a decent point guard, I won't be surprised if he takes the point when Rafer gets into trouble.
So in short, I think both villanueva and graham aren't sure things like a Chris Paul or Bogut when raptors drafted them. I would be happy if they both contribute off the bench this year and show progress at the end of the season. My prediction of Raptors starting lineup would be: Araujo,Bosh,Rose,Mopete,Alston for early to mid season. Araujo,Bosh,Rose,Mopete,Ukic to finish the season.

Re: What will be the starting lineup at the beginning/middle/end of the season??
As for Bosh and CV playing together, I really don't think they will become like Mcdyess and Rasheed or Rasheed and Ben Wallace in Detroit. All 3 of those players are stronger and better defenders than Bosh and Villanueva. I think idealy you would want to pair one of them with a bruiser type player for best results. I think a better comparison would be how Jermaine O'neal and Al Harrington was like in Indiana with Bosh starting and Villanueva getting around 30 minutes off the bench.

Re: What will be the starting lineup at the beginning/middle/end of the season??
PG: Alston
SG: MoPete
SF: Jalen
PF: Bosh
C: Araujo
These jobs will be for these guys to lose. If they start performing badly then they may lose their spots but even if there is great performance from one (or more) of the rookies you'll just see them get more minutes off the bench.
At the end of the year I see the lineup being the same barring the unlikely case that there is a meltdown of Araujo or Alston or possibly a huge slump for Mo.

Re: What will be the starting lineup at the beginning/middle/end of the season??
PG Alston
SG Rose
SF Mo Pete
other two players on the court will be Bosh and Charlie.
There is no reason to get caught up and who the C and who the PF is. The truth of the matter will be that Araujo sucks and Charlie will start over him. I'm not convinced that Araujo is a better rebounder then Charlie or defender. He may be stronger but he can't jump and is too slow. Charlie would not be much more of a defensive liabilty over Araujo.
So for that reason the Raps will start Charile who is good on offensive and him and Bosh will cause huge match up problems for other teams.
People are worrying about how CB and CV can gaurd other teams frontcourts because they dont like CV. But looking at it from a different angle how the hell are teams going to be able to stop CV and CB.

Re: What will be the starting lineup at the beginning/middle/end of the season??
Bosh has the 4-spot locked up. Beyond that I think every position could [and probably will, at least occasionally] have a starting lineup change. Mitchell has some options with the team this year and I'm curious to see how he uses the talent available to him.
BTW, nice sig, Keon...

I honestly think there will be a trade between now and the beginning of the season. Otherwise we will have too many wing players and that will translate in to *****ing about their minutes.

Re: What will be the starting lineup at the beginning/middle/end of the season??
The Bulls started Duhon all season, even with Gordon playing great ball, but it was Gordon who was on the court in the fourth quarter.
Hoffa will start at the 5 spot all season, he wont play huge minutes, 20 per game seems good.
So the starting line will be Alston, Rose, Peterson, Bosh, and Hoffa.
With Mo Pete's 3 point shooting, and solid "D", I would find it hard for Joey to replace him this year. I also don't see Rose giving up his spot, he was on the bench last year for a short stint, and now that he is back, it will be for all season. Alston will be an improved player, and should start all 82 games.
We will see a 1 or 2 game stretch with a small change, but don't think that we will see a permanent change come mid season.

I really see a Amare and Marion w/o Nash combo rather than Ben and Rasheed in CB4+CV3.....
