Raptors have nothing and will most like have nothing for many years. Top US college players are not eager to play for "Toronto" and neither will proven NBA free agents who still have a career left. Money will not attract top free agents because the Ratpors are not a contending playoff team with it's current roster of players.

Don't be surprised if Villaneuva was selected to replace Bosh when he leaves the Ratpors in a couple of seasons. Every other top player has left the Ratpors and Bosh will most likely do so for the 2007-08 season.

Bosh along with the current group of players cannot possibly make the playoffs, unless there is a rash of injuries in the division. If Bosh were injured, the Ratpors would be dead meat because they still don't have a legit center, and probably never will ... unless Milicic is traded to the Ratpors or an aged Magliore comes home to play out his NBA career ... and even then .... !!!

Pinning your hopes on Villi and Joey is like playing the lottery ... one chance in a million .... but it will still be entertaining basketball. What I don't understand is why Morontorontonians should expect the Ratpors to make the playoffs ... because it ain't gonna happen for the foreseeable future.
