Murray is gone one way or another whether its in a buyout or as someone who helps to match salaries in a trade. There are 4 players who can play C and if you include Slokar that is 5. I would be very suprised if at least 2 of those players are gone by the beginning of the season.

Hopefully Babcock will be able to swing a trade to get something for Murray, Williams(s) and something else.

Laks: JYD, Alvin Williams and Aaron Williams
Knicks: Brian Grant and Lamond Murray
Raps: Slava Medvedenko, Penny Hardaway

Why?

Raps: Slava can play both PF and C; Be free from Alvin's contract and from lamond. Penny can play both SF, SG and PG, can brings his experience to this team, helping the young guys, and has an expiring contract.

Laks: JYD and Aaron Williams can help them, JYD is an energy rebounder, and Aaron is a big body which can help them with rebounds and defense too. Both will help the Lakers a lot more than Brian Grant can. Alvin Williams is a big PG, which is a thing that Phil Jackson likes.

Knicks: Get in Brian Grant a beefy PF who can also play some minutes at C. Lamond will help them with scoring in garbage minutes (if he gets any PT).
