It's gonna be a long sad drought in Toronto because US college players really don't want to come to Canada.
Remember that Canada and particularily gay and socialist Toronto is politically anti-American. The NBA players on the Ratpors are cognizant of this Liberal government hatred of Americans after 9 / 11 and Canada's refusal to stand by the USA in Iraq.
As a city, Toronto is the centre of Liberal party power, and the anti-Americanism may not be present with the Ratpor fans, but it's out their in the city big time. If I were an American college player, I would not want to be drafted by Toronto unless nobody else would. Toronto may well lose their NBA franchise if the anti-Americanism is not rejected.

You present an extremely ignorant arguement.
The Facts
Toronto will never loose its franchise because Toronto is the 3rd largest media market in NA and despite all the **** that happened this year attendance was still well above average in the NBA.
Being liberal doesn't matter
The majority of black americans and thus the majority of US college players are democrats - Democrats are liberals. Furthermore the NBA is becoming more and more international as evidenced by this years draft where 1 or 3 people drafted were not American. As it just so happens Toronto is the World's Most International City. Toronto and the GTA have significant representation by more international demographics than any other city in the world period. Finally, do you really think that college players care about the political affiliation of the city they are going too? Not Likely. They want more money, playing time and a chance to win.
Chris Bosh will likely stay
He can be offered more money by Toronto than any other franchise. With a young nucleus for this team there is no reason to expect the raptors won't be at least playoff contendors in 3 years. The raptors will have cap space to lock up quality free agents in Toronto in 2 years time. Chris Bosh has said repeatedly that he loves TO and wants to stay.
Happy Drafties
All the picks this year and last have been very excited and happy to come to Toronto.
Frankly I am tired of writing retorts to all of the completely ridiculous blather that you have presented but I believe i have already done an adaquate job.
we can do without the last bit, thx. speedy.
