But about the last point, "gonna go get it (large contract)"... did he really imply that? or was that your guess?

he might have meant... get championship ring... or get to the playoff... or get 60+ wins....

The host asked about the contracts that Simmons and Hughes have been getting, he said "Chris, you're going to be a rich man in a couple years (laughter)"... then "I may have to get a loan from you..."

Chris then went on to say "that is the plan..."

It was the last question, a lot of humour and tongue-in-cheek there.

Eric jokingly told him that he's going to be a very rich man in the near future, based on the contracts were seeing given to Johnson, Redd, and others lately.

Bosh said he hopes to get a contract like that and become rich, but he knows it's not going to just come to him. He's going to have to work hard and earn it.

So it's really not about him "getting his" as much as it's a fact of life for someone in his position. He didn't at all make it sound like he was entitled.

Bosh will most likely be gone for the 2007-08 season when he joins a contending playoff team in the USA. The Ratpors will not be a playoff contending team for the foreseeable future. They will be loading up with high draft picks for the next 3 - 5 years because they still do not have the overall talent to challenge anybody in the division. It's gonna be a long sad drought in Toronto because US college players really don't want to come to Canada.

Remember that Canada and particularily gay and socialist Toronto is politically anti-American. The NBA players on the Ratpors are cognizant of this Liberal government hatred of Americans after 9 / 11 and Canada's refusal to stand by the USA in Iraq.

As a city, Toronto is the centre of Liberal party power, and the anti-Americanism may not be present with the Ratpor fans, but it's out their in the city big time. If I were an American college player, I would not want to be drafted by Toronto unless nobody else would. Toronto may well lose their NBA franchise if the anti-Americanism is not rejected.

Toronto has got to be one of the last stops for any NBA player ... e.g. J-Rose. Just recall all those who have left the Ratpors and those who refused to show up too.

The only way the Ratpors can put together a contending team is to load up on Euro and other foreign players with a blend of US players.
